Oliver Twist Co are the world's largest exporter of twisted tobacco pellets. The company has been owned by the same family since 1974
Oliver Twist's products are small, discreet rolls of tobacco. We call them tobacco pellets or mini-rolls. A tobacco pellet measures 0.39 x 0.20 inches and has a natural content of nicotine. Each box of Oliver Twist contains 7 grams, which equals about 30 tobacco pellets. All varieties are vacuum-packed, which ensures a shelf-life of about one year.
Kendal Twist - The traditional strong smoking & chewing tobacco, provides a very strong but remarkable cool smoke. Unsuitable for the beginner. The sweetened and rum flavoured variety add additional interest to the smoke Sliced Black Aromatic - Manufactured with the same tobacco as brown twist, but then put through a further process of cooking under pressure to turn the tobacco black.
For over two centuries, the blenders and spinners of Samuel Gawith, Kendal, have been producing the famous Kendal Twists. Coal miners, both underground and on the ground, have been chewing our Pigtails , whilst pipe smokers have savoured the rich flavours and slow burning characteristics of the thick Brown No.4 and Black XX.
Red Man has traditionally come as leaf tobacco, in contrast to twist chewing tobacco or the ground tobacco used in snuff. It is made by the Pinkerton Tobacco company of Owensboro, Kentucky. In 1985, Pinkerton was acquired by a Swedish corporation, and after further corporate reshuffling, the Red Man brand now falls under the umbrella of the Swedish Match company, which in turn is owned primarily by institutional investors.
